Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is the brainchild of the curious mind of PJ Rigney. Throughout the years his travels brought him to the wild and unspoiled landscape of Drumshanbo, Ireland. He created The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, with medieval copper pot stills, and began a quest to fuse oriental botanicals with the local Irish ones. As it turned out, they got on very well indeed.
Slow distilled by hand in medieval copper pot stills with oriental botanicals and gunpowder tea, Gunpowder Irish Gin combines 8 pot still botanicals and 4 vapor infused botanicals in the oriental traditions of distilling. The result is delightfully fresh and rounded upfront with citrus, juniper & spicy notes immediately evident. The expected juniper follows close behind. Gunpowder Tea, meadowsweet & Coriander are all notable.
